Tripmate is an advanced traffic visualization application specifically designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

It works by downloading up-to-the minute traffic data from the Washington State Department Of Traffic (WSDOT) server and present it in a nice, easy to use and meaningful way.

A number of powerful options explained below, allow for the complete personalization and behavior of the information available.

The map is designed to be enlarged or shrinked without loosing and definition. It is completely self contained and only requires small traffic updates in near real time. The road is divided into segments of approximately 1 mile with segment able to display key information such as:

- Name of sensing station
- Location
- Volume of vehicles passed per minute / per hour
- Number of traffic lanes
- Percentage of occupancy
- Calculated speed

Our easy to read color coded system provides intuitive and easily understood "at a glance" guidance of traffic conditions to quickly understand if the road ahead is going to be busy when you plan to hit the road. A simple button tap enables you to switch the map view between Flow (Congestion), Speed and Volume.

Tripmate also shows the direction of flow for each segment and the status of the Interstate 5 and 90 as well has any traffic advice and emergency messages reported by the WSDOT. An optional audio sound is played when new messages are received or the existing messages have changed.

Tripmate can refresh traffic data automatically by setting the interval between data retrieval between 1 and 10 Minutes; it is also possible to refresh manually by either a button press or shaking the device.

Until the 27th of July at the special introductory price of $2.99!
